am I asking too much

why do you disagree,

I give you home

you tear it to pieces

I provide you with food

yet you hide it in storehouses,

hidden away from mouths

and then you complain

that I am not listening.

If I walk away

how much longer do you have

that I make too many demands,

No! not re-write it

so it tickles your ears

but read it as I gave it

Give up your guns

your selfish ways

turn aside from the smell of greed

it is only based on lies.

I am your friend

not your foe,
