I see her yet in soundless dreams,
And when I wake it surely seems
That she was here just as before,
Asleep and safe at the kitchen door.
That yellow dog, those years ago,
Ran through my life, soft eyes aglow.
And on she ran with the part of me
That died in the loss of Muffin Marie.

Off she ran with part of me. This poem is so heartfelt and I truly understand this feeling. I'm so sorry Mike but I know she is there with you always right there at the kitchen door. Beautiful poem and tribute I can really hear the tears dripping in this poem from your heart.
My thoughts are always with you. Peace and love be with you always,
