Just as the human body needs water to survive. Our Spiritual body needs water to survive. This water is Jesus and the Pool is...the Spirit of His Holy Presence.

Poem Artwork

Along the way as we seek God…we fray

reaching a point where we may...slip away

the world blinds us to this happening

oft, we’re unaware of dank return…sapping

Til one day we find we’ve turned from light

and chains of old ways…do alight

but, just then, Jesus, the King’s Son …comes

bringing Warm Love, which Heaven has spun

To His pool… we’re led

where He refreshes spirit, body and mind

To His pool… of renewing

we are washed of mal decline

Into His pool… we’re dipped

in pure waters, cleansed and tended

In His pool… of promises

we’re bathed, restored and mended

Through wisdom we learn, as we travel home

we’re never strong enough to go alone

to accept this…we need only stop and think

how we do regress…back...to the brink

Ever we will need Jesus, for in His Pool

eyes are washed to gleam again…as jewels

we can see Him with outstretched arms

wanting us to Love Him more…than charms

Stay prayerful…not of habit, but adoring

He will not ignore our honest imploring

we cannot monitor or time His approach

but Godwill come to repair carnal encroach

Ah, Beloved Redeemer, who Loves us past understanding

each time, we falter there you are, waiting…standing

that we should fall so in love as to become untainted tools

for this we pray, yet til then, we thank You God for... Your Pool

Let's all thank God for Jesus,
who whenever we are slipping away,
He is there to guide us back!
Thanks for sharing, Joyce, well done!

As you suggest beautifully in this poem, God's pool is unending and all embracing. An uplifting poem and an inspired one. Joh n

Yes, I am the first to admit that often times my mind strays but God always put something in my mind's path to direct me to the right path again. Enjoyed this a lot!

Love ya!

Jane
