Truthfully speaking…
Sometimes the mounts are
hard to climb
but I try my best to keep
this in mind…
It is not by my power or might
that I…still…am daily reaching
It is Your Spirit, Dear God…
that is extending and creasing
You…are the Force
that shuttles me …beyond
the glitches and wrench
You…are the Band of Glory
who musters the four winds…
that ventilate…veer’s stench
You, O Lord, shield me
from the vicious acclaim…
toting me…when the cliffs
are steeped with sharp grain
For, I am but a pilgrim on
an accepted path…
that is taking me to a place
where I’ll sit midst shared epitaph
Alas, when I reach that pinnacle…
and…I will…
when I at last overcome, to…
step across… Beulah’s Sill
It is You…who will welcome me home…
You…who will get Victory Praise, for…
I could have...never...done it alone
Etched forever will be…it was Thee
who wiped my eyes of the watery grime
which sometimes fell …when mounts
were hard to climb

but never reaching the top.
I had set backs and fell a few times
but never had I been discouraged.
I might have felt bad
but God cradled me whenever I fall.
He lifted me to my feet
and I had a mission to climb again.
