I sat and thought of Jesus…
nearing the end of His earthly life
when amid Praise and Glory
into Jerusalem He rode
How the throng worshipped…their King…!
but in less than a week
hate would scatter and raze…
their amorous mode.
The palms that they waved
in exaltation
would be trampled
beneath the feet of a mob
And the multitude of voices
that once welcomed and esteemed…
would cry…Crucify Him…!
as his mother…sobbed.
Before Him was the Cross...
the suffering, scourge and shame
yet, revealed thru His Blood and Death
was the…Victory…for which He came
Still, there’s also a lesson here, how…
without conscience or resistance…
human hearts can turn and spurn
indeed…in an instant

And as it was in the time of Jesus, He was mocked and scourged and crucified, history is now repeating itself. Christians today, in their effort to follow and continue the work of Jesus Christ, are mocked and scorned just in the days of old. Blessings to you, dear heart, for remaining steadfast as you travel the road to victory. You are to be admired by the many who read and follow your teachings. Thank you beyond words.
