Herein the nudity of stalk reality

beneath leaves of grace and mercy

pretentious veil cannot abide

thus, truth… cannot be denied

Whereby no trial has been for naught

every experience has taught

for with each voyage on raging sea

I came closer to a treasure of appease…

More of Him and less of me.

Found on this plateau

where candid reflection is done

the gift of…melted snow…

renders honor to the Son

As thoughts come…and I go on

there’s a reminiscing of my life

and I see footprints on many lawns

etched within both ease and strife.

Oh, that …deceptive fervor…

which rendered me blind

arriving with lying endeavor…

convincing me…I was just fine

And so…I proceeded to play a game

which made enticements glow

until one day…to a place I came…

totally lost…no peace…in tow.

But so many chains today are broken

destroyed by Precious Calvary

I find that daily gazing this token

improves my sight steadily

With a …reach…that causes wonder

liken engraft branch growing steadily

in places where darkness did plunder…

now, Jesus…He lives in me.

My aim has morphed to unshackled range

I am embracing…this change

finding that the Love of the King

is greater…than the world’s sting

Albeit, verily…my greatest quest

from which I will never rest

is that which I strive to receive, yea…

by heaven’s strength…will achieve…

More of Him…and less of me.
