Today, I am 80 years old and still…it is impossible…

for me to completely understand…Your Love

which facilitates…Your Miracles

that have attended me on this earthen tour.

And though I indulge of them without perplex

I cannot do so while neglecting...

to acknowledge You, O God…

You…and Your Loving Power Galore.

Converting the air…into oxygen

which flows to cell and muscle

You have refused to let my heart stop

Indeed, I am aware…every breath I take…

You…allot.

My mind, it still works…

orchestrated by You…in the park of

‘normal’ hone…

and I do not move limbs simply because I desire

but it is…You…enabling ligaments to do so …

vert or prone.

I walk here and there, and…

thankfulness spills as I avoid obstacles…

with eyes that You have enabled to…see.

Then, there’s my hands, that can ‘feel’...

and ‘touch’… all that You've provided …

which surround me.

I can taste

sweet, cold, bitter, or hot…

and my ears…not only hear loud noises…

but even…a quiet rain drop.

Still, even further, one can’t ignore

that in-laid wondrous sense of smell,

Your natural charm…

which can alert of unseen peril, or

upon an opened window’s breeze…

facilitates refresh and calm.

Also, what of this…inexplicable peace

found in midst of a looming end-times war...

threatening globally… to rage around?

Is it not Your blessed assurance…

refusing to let me go...

though each day my human concerns…abound?

Of some of Your renown manifestations…

many do, near and far, testify…

broadcasting them on world’s screen, albeit…

what of those twixt…You and I…?

It is with voracious amour,

which I avow will gush eternally…

I do proclaim the depth of them to be…no less

Whereby, with revered recognition today

and for all the minutes of my life to come…

humbly I receive, and most gratefully will ingest…
