The Beast
You came in the day, crept into the night.
You stole their memories, extinguished their light.
Leaving me alone as their caregiver.
You came in the day, crept into the night.
You stole their hug and kisses, robbing their life.
Leaving me in fear as their caregiver.
You came in the day, crept into the night.
You took their beautiful home, they built all alone.
Leaving me angry as their caregiver.
You came in the day, crept into the night.
You took away my loves, the light of my life.
Leaving me crying as their caregiver.
You’ll come in the day, and creep into the night.
Until there’s a cure, you’ll extinguish more light.
Leaving them alone as their caregiver.
You’re the Beast – Alzheimer’s.
