In 2006 I moved my parents from Texas to Virginia after they were diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This poem is a reflection of my emotions during this time and the year and a half I took care of them.
*Total Chaos* Come live with me, I love you. Can’t you see? Come live with me, you’re losing your mind. Can’t you see? Come live with me, you need my help. Can’t you see? You can’t live with me, I need help. Can’t you see? You can’t live with me, you’re too heavy to lift. Can’t you see? You can’t live with me, you need medical attention. Can’t you see? You can’t forget me, I’ll come see you everyday. Can’t you see? You can’t forget me, I need you. Can’t you see? You can’t forget me, I love you. Can’t you see? Deborah Ann Tornillo Copyright © 2009

You have captured the raveges of the disease quite well. Its hard for the person who has this and very hard for the caregiver to see them loose it all....M
