*The First Time* The first time I looked into your eyes You filled my life with many smiles You touched my heart and soul You gave my life so much joy That only a mother would know. The first time I looked into your eyes You surrounded me with love and security You touched my heart and soul You made my life complete That only a wife could see. The first time I looked into your eyes You taught me all life’s lessons You said it was your time to go You filled my heart with tears That only a daughter would fear. The first time I look into your eyes You will surround me with your light You will tell me that you love me You will fill my heart with joy That only a child of God will know.
