Within His Light

My parents were laid to rest at Arlington Cemetary and this poem is a reflection of my feelings that day, as well as God's light shining down on us that day, as shown in the photo.

*Within His Light* On this day I felt his love I saw his light As we gathered Paying our respect For a soldier For an angel God was with us. I knew Because of faith They were home In God’s embrace Soldiers stood Within his light At attention For my father For my mother. Words of love Hope and Faith Spoken that day On March the Eight Filling our heart Mind and Eyes With his love And within his light. On this day Within his light Prayers of many Thanking God For gifts of plenty Wonderful parents Kind, so loving Will be missed And never forgotten. Deborah Ann Tornillo Copyright © 2009
