The Reality of His Hell

Outside, looking in at the
Dark, deepest shadows of
His tormented mind.
A well built wall of scars
Destroying the reality
Of his dreams.

Inner words of pain
Convulse deeply inside
Hurting and destroying.
Visions of a loss
Burned deeply within
His young heart.

Death of love and
End of hope drowning
This innocent child.
Destroying his only light
Ending tomorrow’s glory
Silencing once more.

Many offer words of
Prayer and learned wisdom.
Worthless and meaningless
That’s all he will ever feel.
Words with no promises
That’s all he’ll ever believe.

Inner words cut harder
And, dig deeper within
This tormented soul.
Draining life’s meaning
And, slowly bleeding away
What little, if any he has left.

He feels protected by
The strength of his wall.
Tools of time keep failing to
Chisel away at his scars.
Keeping him a prisoner
The reality of his hell.

Hopefully from desolation, will come consulation and some kind of acceptance. Its hard when a person keeps getting dragged down with no hope in sight. It can reduce the will to go on , it can bring , anger, fear, frustration, hopelessness to a person. I pray you'll both have the strength to endure whats ahead. The path is a steep one and it won't be easy. Some times I think a person can only go so far down , and then they have to rise up, accept and live the best they can with the time thats given to them, and perhaps leave something of them selves behind , to be remembered for... Your poem shows all the inner emotins , fear , turmoil, and hoplessness of his situation. My continued heart felt prayers are with you both....M

I think you capture the horrors of the condition perfectly. My heat goes out to you.

...WORTHLESS AND MEANINGLESS...WORDS WITH NO PROMISES...THAT'S ALL HE'LL EVER 'BELIEVE'... AT TIMES LIKE THESE IT IS SO HARD FOR THE SICK TO SEE 'HIM'...TO BELIEVE THAT HE STILL HOLDS OUR HAND. MAY GOD STRENGTHEN YOU, THE CARE GIVER, AS YOU CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR HIM. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS AND THANKS FOR SHARING. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
