Soothe Him Dear Lord, Soothe his heart. Fear grips him Tearing him apart. Dear Lord, Calm him. Before this storm Send in the Angels. Restlessness inside Gripping and pulling Suffocating his mind His fragile heart. Dear Lord, Listen to me He needs you. Hear his heart. Deborah Ann Tornillo Copyright© 2010

A prayer trapped within a poem. Great phrasing.

This is so deeply what I felt in my heart this past Saturday as I watched a man on the top of a building considering suicide.
Perhaps felt prayers count as well as said prayers.
Prevention is the key, so I wish to dedicate myself to being more present to the people around me- to catch the signs- and not let them slip so far.
Beautiful poetry.
