This is so winsome. For many of us, I suppose it will recall similar stories of holding that beloved pet, wondering how long you have left together.
The day before I was to give up my precious Corky, I asked my husband to take pictures of the two of us, sitting on our favorite chair together, a comfort to each other. When I see the pictures now, I feel the sadness, but I also relive the warmth and the depth of our connection and love. I'm praying for you today.

OH DEB...I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FEELING...THIS WORK REALLY HIT HOME. WE HAVE A CAT IN THE FAMILY...SHE HAS STAYED WITH ME FOR A LONG WHILE IN THE PAST...A FEW YEARS SHE WAS WITH ME....CANDI. SHE IS NOW WITH MY DAUGHTER AND SHE IS ABOUT 18 YEARS OLD. SADLY, WE JUST DISCOVERED THAT SHE IS NOW DEAF. EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE ALRIGHT...SHE JUST CAN'T HEAR ANYMORE. BUT SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO WORRY...SHE HAS GOT A HOME AND LOTS OF LOVE AS LONG AS SHE ALIVE...AND EVEN AFTER...SHE'S LOVED...MUCH. SO...YOU SEE...I REALLY UNDERSTAND THIS WORK.
