A Gift of Sorrow I close my eyes It all goes away. Today, tomorrow The sorrow. I open my eyes Rushes back in. Curse at my Lord I’ve committed a sin. If I keep them closed I hide within. Will he forgive me? I’ve cursed him. Open my eyes Accept tomorrow. The gift he’s given The sorrow. Deborah Ann Tornillo Copyright© 2010

We all at times lose the battle to be perfect...try as we will life seems to have ways of getting us down. To believe in God is to believe that he is a forgiving diety and as our creator must also understand our weakness as will as our strength. Well done Deb...honest and open write that most will appreciate.

You almost sneeked this one by me. Thankfully you did not. This I believe was a writing of repent. And all the sorrow YOU have been through this poem is approx. As always it was extremely well written.
