*A Simple Man* He was my Daddy Articulating his words He wanted to be heard. He once said to me Lying on in his bed His words are still in my head. I didn’t want to hear His simple words I didn’t want to be there. Daddy, take us away And, your simple words. Take us, to a happier day.
