A Jagged Edge
Shattered pieces of glass
Surround her heart
She carefully analyzes
Every tiny piece
Taking care not to nick
A heart that already bleeds.
God, please make it clear
My heart is cut with
Hope and fear.
A message has been sent
Every word’s jagged edge
Still scattered about.
