A Tightrope
There is a man
Near the edge of night.
He walks in between
Not feeling the light.
He is a good man
Anguish tears his heart.
Fighting for the why
Questioning life’s deny.
Balancing in between
He walks a tightrope.
Struggling on the edge
He questions hope.
Focus on the light
A promise of sunshine.
Extending my hand
One day at a time.
