Awake

 Awake

 

Surrounded in safety

Majestic blue mountains.

Pines blanketing her horizon

Eagles soaring in surety.

 

Balancing on tomorrow

Her story unfold’s.

Realizing an ending

Many lives already told.

 

Sun reaching upward

Screaming its fiery tears.

Emotions of warmth

Her truth reveres.

 

In quiet confidence

Ready for dawns break.

She found the balance

She’s wide awake.
