Who is this man?
Perplexed, they wanted to know.
Alas, they enlisted the help of an interrogator and
an inquisitor to find out the truth about him. But
after extensive questioning and inquiring, they
agreed that this man was exceptional and/or
unique, but admitted that he remained something
of a mystery to them, that they were at a lost 
to know him.

Unable to reconcile their findings, or lack thereof,
with their reputations, they made an attempt to
analyze his character. Again they agreed, that this
man is an original and one-of-a-kind. His
character, they said, embodies authenticity,
courage, creativeness and spontaneity. He is
unperturbed by circumstances or vicissitudes.

Their verdict, much like an acquittal, stated,
"This man is exceptional in his uniqueness and
unique in his exceptionalism. He defies definition
apart from self-definition."

Finally, bewitched, dismayed and while musing,
they said, "We could have saved ourselves time,
energy and the embarrassment of adding one
more failure to our dossiers if we had accepted
his self-definition of who he is."
