A gift from my Creator the morning of my birthday 2006. This was an illastration I used when counseling a friend that was allowed to form into a poem.

In every picture of Jesus I see,
Open arms with hands spread wide toward me.
I ask God,"Why? What does this mean?"
To my heart God spoke so soft and clear.
As He spoke, my eyes filled with tears.
"Look into the hands of my Son,
Look closely, My little one."
In my mind's eye I could see,
One hand empty, the other full of blessings for me.
"I don't understand." I said once more,
"What is the empty hand for?"
"Child, empty yourself into that hand.
This is your task in Our plan.
Only when you pour out your life,
Empty everything, dreams, worries, trouble, strife.
Give it to Jesus, with it He knows what to do.
Only then can He... fill you.
A vessel full of earthly things can hold no more.
Empty out My child, see what Heaven holds in store."
Now when these pictures I see:
I think of the scars that made me whole.
I think of the empty hand to pour out my soul.
I receive the blessings that from the full hand flow.

This is a wonderful illustration that can be grasped by even a child.
Thanks for sharing, Lora!
