By trying to keep thoughts alive, out of imagination this poem has arrived.

Sitting here under a tree

I am yet to make a decree

Whether to move or stay

My mind is on the sway

The heat is out on display

It means I must not stray

Since I am feeling so free

Under my beautiful tree

It’s shading me from sun

The heat today is no fun

No sign of cooling down

Grass around, is turning brown

The need for rain seems in vain

Dryness leaving all its stain

There is going to be

A shortage of grain

For the year ahead

That’s the thing to dread

The sun is extremely hot

Under a shady tree is my lot

Maybe more than others got

Sitting here under a tree

Great imagery. Good message. I enjoyed the subtext especially. Certainly (in my own experiences) as we meditate on the Most High's creation there are times when His spirit will open our eyes to something other than what exists with the physical tent around us. Amen! Peace to you... r

I love it, Clarence! I have planted many trees in my journey on this Earth so far. I hope to plant more. Love, peace, and blessings to you,

We are so blessed to have trees,
they serve lots of good purposes,
and to give shade is just one of the many purposes.

Trees serve many purposes, not the least of which is saving us from the hot sun. A lovely, lyrical view of a shade tree.

The shade is cool,
Under branches spread.
Just as long as a falling apple,
Doesn't bonk you on the head.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
