The whistling of the Autumn air
piercing through the silence bare,
rustling leaves as if to dare
the docile trees around, compare.
The rushing of the restless sea
enticing sunbeams down with glee,
to dance upon it's waves so free
in dusk's relentless rhapsody.
The breath of moonlight now around,
and chill of darkness does surround
to welcome now the haunting sound,
as Midnight Whispers sweep the ground.
Ok, I wrote this is West Wales, which you'd probably think has the most unpoetic atmosphere ever. I wrote the poem to show how different it is at night...less harsh, you know? Anyway, enjoy!!!
