Her silent lips are speaking
without a word to give

against her haunted skin

Her hands are long and slender,
though pale, and cold to touch.
Although they once held others,
must have just held on too much.

Her heart, it seems to be there,
but things aren't what they seem,
her love for life was lost so long
her faith a distant dream.

Her shattered heart was pumping
for many years before,
but then the overdose took charge
and stole her life once more
