He doesn’t have a house,
His home is in the street,
Constantly begging,
For another meal to eat.

On your way to work,
You passed him every day,
But every single time,
You looked the other way.

You didn’t even once,
Put as much as a penny in his hand,
You never stopped to think,
Or try to understand.

And now you face the mirror,
A reflection of your self,
Now you’re the one who’s calling,
Calling out for help.

Excellent. As Leonard Cohen said:

It's coming to America first
The cradle of the best and of the worst
It's here they got the range
And the machinery for change
And it's here they got the spiritual thirst
It's here the family's broken
And it's here the lonely say
That the heart has got to open
In a fundamental way
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

Time for a change!

Giving Myself 'A' Reason For Going On by RickthePoetWarrior

A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.

Gilded Prisons by Linda Gould

Major League ballplayer Justin Moore is kidnapped from his own ballpark and transported to a foreign land. It might take high-level international negotiations to free him. Or maybe he will take matters into his own hands.
