Tormented thoughts of him
Steal into my sleepless bed.
His lips, soft with passion,
His hands, warmly seeking,
Stroking, caressing,
His breath, fluttering
Against my neck, my ear,
Growing into gentle moans.
His strength guiding me,
Carrying me through the
Crashing waves.
Sweat-drenched,
Heart-broken,
Aching with needs
More than physical,
I beg this incubus
Of memory
To leave me to my rest.
With the light of day
He slips away.
But this demon
Knows the path of return
By heart.
Tonight he will
Haunt me
Again.
