The rhythm in this poem is excellent! You put images and memories in my head like you wouldn't believe. I could feel the straw under my feet and feel the hot day and see myself trying to win money by rolling pennies down a "rigged" game. But, oh the fun of it all! Thanks for your wonderful talents!

I haven't been to an 'old time' circus since my own children were little, there was a boxing kangaroo and elephants etc., and the clowns were always hilarious. Animals are now banned in Circus over here, and the last one I saw a couple of years back was all trapeze acts,it just isn't the same. Jackie

My old heart had a momentary leap of joy as I read this and imagined myself going from one hustle to another trying my level best ot spend all the money my parents had in their pockets. Yes, the world is so wonderful through the eyes of the innocent. This was very good, Pam.

Pamela, this poem takes me back. I remember meny years ago when I worked as an 'agent' in a carnival for West Coast Shows and Kraft #2. Talking about being surrounded by people. Wow! There never was a dull moment; since a few of the games were fixed. Loved this journey back into time the way the children love it too. Bill Murray
