Aesop Visits England

After reuniting with his dear old dad, Aesop decides to hop a freighter and head for England! Anyone not familiar with little Aesop - there are previous poems posted about him here and in Jerry Bolton's Den....

Poem Artwork

Yes Aesop’s on the road again
And traveling thru the land
His many friends have offered help
And want to lend a hand.

He searched and found his father
A gerbil extraordinaire
Known for his gift of gab
And his total lack of hair.

Bald gerbil though he may be
Well known in his hometown
He’s a published poet and ladies man
He spreads himself around!

But now their reunion is over
And it’s time Aesop moved on
He’s just a travelin’ man you see
Out of town before the dawn.

He’s decided to hop a freighter
And visit “Jolly Old”…
He has a friend in England
And he’s feeling mighty bold.

Some wharf rats told him of a ship
He said “that sounds good to me!”
So it’s on to more adventures for him
Across the Atlantic sea.
