Let's blame this one on a bad dream last night........

Poem Artwork

Time is passing more quickly now
Reflection creases my old brow
The mirror lies at me somehow
Where did the time go?

Youth has fled its’ blossom died
My old broken heart it cried
The ugly words and times you lied
Was I just blind to truth?

I threw away the letters and such
When I was young they meant so much
As I still hungered for your touch
Did I really want to know?

As time’s gone by and I now see
Youth’s folly was prison, I was not free
But at least I could be the "real" me
Did I move on or just stop caring?

Oh, Pam this is so revealing and something I can relate to for sure. I think Jerry's comments were perfect, so I'll just "ditto" what he said. Love, Janet

I guess we move on and pack certain memories away until something like a bad dream unwraps them again. Jackie <> <

Oh, boy. Pamelea. Wow, my friend you bridged a gap here with these heartfelt words. The gap you bridged is the one between you and your inner self. I'm happy you were able to express yourself in such a way. Great job!

Where men are one up, we never grow up, kinda melanconic.
