THE LAUGHING CROW
Words by Joel Sattler
There's a crow in the tree that is laughing at me
laughing at me
laughing at me
There's a crow in the tree that is laughing at me
laughing at me
laughing at every body he sees
because that is the way a crow must be
There's a river that falls over 90 foot walls
90 foot walls
90 foot walls
There's a river that falls over 90 foot walls
over 90 foot walls
the sound of thunder crash over all
and I can't even hear myself when I call
There's an apple that grows at the end of a rose
at the end of a rose
at the end of a rose
there's an apple that grows at the end of a rose
at the end of a rose
and if everything everything in the world froze
nothing would live and no one would know
There's a honeybee flying around and around
around and around
around and around
there's a honeybee flying around and around
around and around
and comes swooping swooping on down
to a flower coming up out of the ground
There's a drop of rain looking to fall on the earth
fall on the earth
fall on the earth
there's a drop of rain looking to fall on the earth
and under under under the dirt
there's a seed there's a seed there’s a seed to rebirth
but you know and I know
and he knows and she knows
and we know and it knows
the way it must go
There's a heart that is beating inside of me
inside of me
inside of me
there's a heart that is beating inside of me
and when I look out, what do I see?
A crow laughing laughing laughing laughing up in a tree
