Heard a voice inside my head
don't know whom
heard the words but not just quite
just a few
the seasons change with appetite
winter new
I saw in the sky a white
September moon

then the full eclipse occurred
all too soon
the black it took out bite by bite
with a spoon
the night itself fell deeper night
deeper gloom
and then occlusion reached a height
and I observed a horrid sight
and before my eyes
there was a blood red moon

But bit by bit the moon came in
and it grew
bigger than it ever been
good and true
in my father's house there are
many rooms
some of them are full of stars
some with moon

this is how I see my life
from the tomb
I was dead but now I rise
soul resumed
I will never die again
I assume
now I am a brother to the
September moon
