or take arms

then to die or sleep

of a thousand shocks
that flesh is heir to
and to stop the clock

tis a consummation
devoutly to be wished
to go perhaps to dream
or sleep down with the fish

but in that sleep of death
what dreams maybe come
when we have shuffled off

why should we respect
the calamity of life
bear the whips and scorns of
underneath oppressor's knife

the pangs of despised love
and the law's delay
the insolence of office
political decay

but then we do fear the dread
of something after death
the undiscovered country
the hot and heavy breath

from whence no man returns
the threat of full damnation
eternally to burn

that mixes up our minds
and sabotage our will

than to fly to others
that we know not of
thus conscience makes us cowards
