A SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE song lyrics
by Joel Sattler
She opened the door and walked right on in
with an eye on the clock and an ear to the wall
waiting to see evidence of sin
waiting to hear the hearts as they fall
no one could know
the depth of her soul
it was hidden in all that she does
and until the tears
appear in the sky
she's a spy in the house of love
don't know why
she gotta be a spy
why can't she be
an angel to me
why can't she be
what I want to see
why must she lie
she's just a spy
she bought a ticket on the inside train
hoping to go where no man's gone before
all that she wanted could not be explained
all that she needed was more
no one could go
where she wanted to go
the treachery was in her blood
but until she can find
a lover and why
she's a spy in the house of love
she got out of bed with a laugh and a shrug
and left me there empty and cold
she swept my ecstasy underneath of the rug
and strut out the door brave and bold
but until she reported
to her CIA
all the dreams that I was dreaming of
and still I still have
to face a new day
she's a spy in the house of love

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
