The world is glass
my soul is glass
careful careful
do not touch
it doesn't really seem so much
glass is brittle but it's clear
no need to fear
My world is glass
my eye is glass
what I see
reflects back to me
I may be broken, draw some blood
press the edge and it will flood
but no one told me it would hurt so much
Our world is glass
my hand is glass
whatever I try to hold
falls out of my grasp
heaven's merely out of reach
the minutes rushing by so fast
I see right through the future to the past
All delusion and religions made of glass
all our saviours gods and devils made of glass
all our politics and freedoms made of glass
history mythology and legends made of glass
nothing that we conceived
possibly could last
we were all totally deceived
everything we ever wanted or believed
is simply made of glass
The world is glass
my finger glass
shattering the touch
whatever it cuts
and when it breaks a billion pieces
and the crash of sound increases
we'll be waiting for someone to come release us
