said you had to see me
had to meet - face to face
and you said you were going
I had no way of knowing
that you never would come back a gain
you closed the door behind you
only echoes would remain
and I sat at the table
that was all I was able
there was nothing left for me but rain
and now I'm walking all alone
the moon invisible and night as black as ink
my mind is frozen like a stone
the snow is falling but I just can't feel a thing
wish I could forget
be somebody else
I can only blame myself
tomorrow is a long time
if today will never end
but if I could get over
I'd have so much to show her
but I just don't know how, where or when
so I have to keep on walking
maybe I can find a friend
who will tell me remember
there's an end to December
and someday spring will come back again
I'm in a prison in my heart
and I'd escape it if I just could find the key
the only way I can get free
is on the day if she would just come back to me
I'd be free of pain
and unlock the cell
but I feel my hands in chains
but still I'm walking all alone
the moon invisible and night as black as ink
my mind is frozen like a stone
the snow is falling but I just can't feel a thing
