When I was younger
I thought that the whole world
was only a toy
made for a boy
when I grew older
I realized that you just
have to grab hold
of what is joy
walking the streets alone
without a friend or home
didn't know what I could be
till the day you rescued me
so many people
are wandering in the world
selling their souls
at any cost
I was like most of them
thinking I had it all
I didn't know
that I was lost
looking up into the sky
but not seeing the sun
and then you rescued me
till the day you rescued me
I didn't know if the future
was where or when
you were the one who
could teach me to laugh again
you came along and you
showed me what love is for
that with enough you
can open up any door
happiness only what you
can make of it
there is the road and
the choices are infinite
no one can say
what should be
it's up to you
brave and free
