LET IT RAIN song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

[third version]

when your sky is gray
and you've lost your way
if soul has gone bone dry
no tears left to cry

let water wash you clean
and just let it rain
clear away all bad dreams
and just let it rain

once there was a time
that we sailed above
the ocean
of all our fears

and we knew the heart
for just what it was
the skies
were always so clear
listen to me

you need not fear the storm
cause I'll keep you warm
I will ease your pain
just you let it rain

rain is a form of love
so just let it rain
coming from up above
just let it rain

rain it is what you're made of
I'm back again
rain it shall do what it does
it has an end

you need not fear the storm
cause I'll keep you warm
I'll help to ease your pain
so just let it rain just let it

I'll be your forever
then and today
together we'll laugh
and then let it let it rain

tomorrow we will run
and see what we've done
we'll see what we've become
see all that we've won
but for now let it rain

[bridge]
but when a hurricane it hits your heart
stand and take it I'll help you build your ark
strong and unsinkable out of flesh and blood and bone
you won't have to sail alone anymore

and when the thunder ends
you'll have a friend
we will start over again
but un till then

let water wash you clean
and just let it rain
clear away all bad dreams
and just let it rain

once there was a time
that we sailed above
the ocean
of all our fears

and we knew the heart
for just what it was
the skies
were always so clear
listen to me

you need not fear the storm
cause I'll keep you warm
I will ease your pain
let me explain
you just have to let it rain

let it rain
let it rain

Long lyrics for a song, but I like them.
