THE END OF THE WORLD BLUES song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

part one

it's 2 am,
one penny from broke
blowing cigars
when you don't even smoke

in a dark club
full of dingy blues
how you got here
you didn't choose

drinking whisky
and a line of coke
your whole damn life
has turned into a joke

you're totally lost
and totally gone
but if this is the way
then bring it on

it aint good
but it feels alright
guess I'll sit here
till the end of the night

chorus:
got nowhere to go
nothing else to do
guess I got
the end of the world blues

the juke is dying
the beer is warm
even the cockroaches
can't do no harm

the blood on the floor
is black and dry
don't even attract
the goddam flies

the bartender's
asleep on the bar
outside the door
can't hear no cares

the clock has stopped
the air is still
if the rot don't get you
the radiation will

seems like the sun
aint never gonna come up
I got a bad bad feeling
in my gut

chorus:
got nowhere to go
nothing else to do
guess I got
the end of the world blues

if there is a tomorrow
don't wanna go there
if it means going blind
and losing all my hair

the crocodile people
walking round at noon
with empty eyes
beyond all doom

don't wanna know
what the dog does chew
what kinda bone
or who knows who

if I'm not dead
then this is worse
I'd rather feel something
even if it hurts

chorus:
got nowhere to go
nothing else to do
guess I got
the end of the world blues
