if ever I ever get out of here
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
if ever I ever can make it clear
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
been on the road for a hundred years or more
spinning the wheels on a journey from shore to shore
working the lines and singing my song
I never thought it would take so long
if ever I ever get out of here
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
if ever I ever can make it clear
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
sometimes it works and it all falls into place
but most of the time it's a never ending race
I know the beginning but where is the end
I get to the coast then start all over again
if ever I ever get out of here
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
if ever I ever can make it clear
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
maybe someday I will find a place I can stop
maybe down in the valley or mountaintop
but till then I'll keep singing till voice gives out
north and west south and east anywhere about
if ever I ever get out of here
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
if ever I ever can make it clear
then I'm going I'm going to Soledad
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
