rising over the moon

I wish I could be back there soon
space
is such a cold place
time
is such a long race
tears
rolling down my face
cries
as I watch the earth rise
years
they have come and gone
fears
the world must carry on
near
the blue marble seems so far away
clear
the earth rising come what may
space

under black skies
laden with stars
and red planet Mars
maybe some day
I shall reprise
but until then

200 thousand miles or more
