when I fell in love with you
I was just a stupid kid
didn't know what I had did
or that the meaning of all is
love is
when I touched you first that night
even though my head was reeling
I just knew to hold you tight and
and my heart told me that
it
was
right
but I'm still learning
I am still learning how to love
and each day is a lesson
sent from up above
but still
I know there is so much more to learn
how the soul can be on fire
and be happy just to burn
for love
and I know how much you want to teach me, too
because I want it to be true
I want to go beyond all desire
and be there just with you
and we'll go higher, higher and higher
and kiss the sky
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
