[based on a translation of LA POLENA by Francesco Mega
I looked up and then an apple had rolled down
From the hillside and stopped at my feet there
teardrop from a sweet and golden sunset
raining down from who knows where
I see the clothes drying on the line
in the city
like the sheets of the ships navigating
leaving me behind
I am the woman who waits at the window
looking out as the world goes to shadow
searching in the sky for a guiding light
like music in the night
showing the route that must be taken, pointing the way
I am the figurehead of morning
as they sail away
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
