how dare He do, and by what right

but He answered them with parables
which they had not wisdom to understand
so bargained they with Judas
to bring down the Son of Man

and at the disciples' final feast
of Passover did Jesus speak
he told them what would come to be
He broke the bread, said take and eat

this is my body, He took the cup
said drink of it this is My blood
the blood of the new covenant
for the remission of all sin

and in the garden they did find Him
arrested Him and they did bind Him

just one week from celebration
to his defamation

of His eternal glory
and of His resurrection
