I woke up this morning and I was falling
there was no bottom left to the world
the birds outside my window were calling out to me
but there was nothing left of the girl
time is a most delicate balance
time is much more than it seems
it takes every bit of your heart and your talents
to be any more than a dream
time is always waiting for someone
who never comes when you hope that they do
and sometimes your hopes go unanswered
and what you thought you already knew
the clock kept on ticking forever
promising there must be an end
never and unnever whatever it takes
I thought she was much more than a friend
life is a most delicate balance
life is so much more than it seems
it takes every bit of your love and your talents
to be any more than a dream
love is a most delicate balance
love is so much more than it seems
it takes every bit of your life and your talents
to be any more than a dream
