ALL BETS ARE ON THE TABLE song lyrics
by Joel Sattler
all bets are on the table
so play them if you're able
if you got two deuces going
still it gets the juices flowing
like the fox back in the fable
all bets are on the table
you been playing all night thru
tried every trick you knew
in the dark night of the soul a-borning
it's always 3 o'clock in the morning
the floor's no longer stable
all bets are on the table
once there was a time
you played it safe and sound
but when you did the crime
you lay the dead man down
when he was in his prime
now you lost what you had found
so do another line
it's only money just as well
the final bet is heaven or hell
your eyes no longer level
the dealer is the Devil
the chips turned into bones
the gamble is your jones
can't read the bottle label
all bets are on the table
there's nothing left to do
but see it through or else
the cards speak for themselves
