I can write the saddest I can write
tonight just for example "Here the stars
so deep out in the distance shivered blue
are almost out of sight they are so far"

the wind that brings the night
turns in the sky and sings

I can write the saddest write tonight
I loved I know sometimes she loved me too
on nights like this I had her in my arms
and kissed her under endless skies of blue

she loved me
and sometimes I loved her back
how could I not
have loved those eyes of black ?

I can write tonight a verse so sad
to think I do not have her feeling bad
I hear the night immense and growing fast
my verse falls like the dew into the grass

the wind that brings the night
turns in the sky and sings

no matter that my love just couldn't keep her
the night is full of stars and she is gone
I know that that is all I know I know
but in the night the singing still goes on

I try to see her now as if to come
my heart looks for what never will be where
the same night making white the same old ones
but we are not the same as we were there

it's true I do not want her anymore
but how I loved her wanting her so near
I want to feel the way I felt before
my voice searches the wind to touch her ear

another's she will always be another's
like before the kisses changed our lives
how endlessly her voice how bright her body
how infinite it seemed it were her eyes

because on nights like this I held her tight
because my soul just cannot stand to lose
although this is the last pain that I write
these are the last verses that I choose
