WHILE FLORENCE IS SLEEPING song lyrics
by Joel Sattler
Florence tonight you are sleeping neath the sky
the song of the spheres is your starry lullaby
beating in the night there is a heart up above
down here in the shadows we sing a song of love
the Arno is reflecting the city Florentine
and Heaven is awaiting for those who live their dreams
though Florence is sleeping she will be waking soon
and so meanwhile we are skating on the beams of the moon
my lover and I are running barefoot across
the rooftops of the city but we never get lost
so full of emotion it seems that we can never die
holding her hand I swear that we can almost fly
the city of lillies the city Renaissance
the home of recreation everything you want
while Florence is sleeping we will grab the planet Mars
and we will rise up to the rapture and dance among the stars

Reviews of "WHILE FLORENCE IS SLEEPING song lyrics by Joel Sattler"
I really feel the romance in these lyrics both ancient and timeless.
By the way, my niece visited Florence this past summer seeking out fine art. What she learned was interesting. While great Renaissance art is available in Rome, Florence and Venice, much of the art that is displayed everywhere is of quite imitative for quality. Something she had not expected to see.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
