These lines make me think of a state of trauma, in which words are repeated to self-soothe . The repetition of "silence", "quiet", "words", "hush", "my voice is all flown away " conveys the impression of being left voiceless, speechless in a state of loss.
I haven't seen you do a rap before. Because raps are spoken so fast, I guess the required repetition allows the listener to finally get the point, and in doing so, perhaps get addicted to the meter and beat the rap presents by the artist. Young people have better hearing and are more attracted to repetition than I. Probably why most rap artists have a young following. I prefer slower repetition, like the blues.
