I'm still breathing
in spite of everything
I'm still believing
my soul's not leaving
for all my grieving
my heart's still beating
in spite of everything
I woke up today
and I was still alive
I spent all night in pray
just trying to survive
and when dawn came at last
I had a dreamless sleep
and I erased the past
when I rose from the deep
there can be no tomorrow
without a yesterday
must be an end to sorrow
no matter what the the way
the sun will still come up
no matter what you do
and if you don't know what
then time will tell on you
you're not the only one
who's been in love and lost
you know you've had your fun
but didn't know the cost
now that you're all alone
the world turns east to west
but still you must go on
