GOD MUST BE LOVE lyrics
by Joel Sattler

Love
love permeates the universe
love gives life to what was once was nothing
Love is the only thing that matters
the only thing that really exists

All you need is love
all you want is love
all you are is love
love is all you are

God must be love
sent from up above
God must be love
despite everything

I went down to the temple
to lift my heart and sing
but when we got to the first
the words meant everything
we all know the story
the power and the glory
but when it comes to the rest
it’s anybody’s guess
The Holy Spirit can fill your heart
or it can tear your soul apart
if you trust unto the Lord
he will make your life a sword
and if you don't believe in God
your life becomes a lightning rod

God must be love
there is no other explanation
God must be love
believe with no more hesitation
God must be love
how can it be otherwise
God must be love
all other philosophies
are lies

I went down to the sea
with only God and me
and tried to wash away
but I guess I had to stay
I have a song to sing
I have a bell to ring
I have a word to say
tomorrow and today

God must be love
there is no other choice
God must be love
in each and every voice
God must be love
the love taken and love given
God must be love
on earth as it is in heaven

"All we need is love," brought that famous Beatle's song to mine. Yes, love is the answer, but I'm not sure that there is any love in a vengeful God.
